~ 1930's Lucie Attwell Fairy Tree Biscuit Tin Plate Money Box ~

Known as 'The Fairy Tree', it depicts a conical tree with a selection of lithographed Attwell Boo Boos, fairies and animals peaking out of the leaves. There is a slot to the sides for your coins and a stopper underneath.

The top conical part acting as the money box, though the lower "trunk" half of the bank is not included.

~ Mabel Lucie Attwell ~

Mabel Lucie Attwell (4 June 1879 – 5 November 1964) was a British illustrator. She was known for her cute, nostalgic drawings of children, based on her daughter, Peggy. Her drawings are featured on many postcards, advertisements, posters, books and figurines.

~ Dimensions ~

The money box has a height of 10.5 inches (26.7 cm) & a diameter of 6.25 inches (15.8 cm). It weighs 240 g.

~ Condition ~

There are several shallow dents to the lower left and right. The piece has loss to the lithograph print and light corrosion. The tree would originally have a separate trunk with bunnies, this is absent.
