~ Gilded Brass Late Victorian Fireplace Clock ~
A grand centre-piece, this tall and elaborate clock stands atop an ornate plinth on six "toupie feet".
The pendulum movement is encased in a box high above the plinth and its face boasts small, individual, curved enamel plates for each painted Roman Numeral digit.
The hands too are ornate and painted a delicate shade of white.
Topped with an urn, resplendent with scrollwork and decked with floral swags, this status symbol was designed to boast the wealth of its owner.

The clock has a diameter of 20.4 inches (52 cm) and is the height of 24.6 inches (62.5 cm).
It weighs 18.1 Kg.
~ Condition ~
All in good working order, the clock has been recently serviced. One side knob is missing.
