We have a brass door knocker themed around the Schneider Air Race that took place in 1929 over the Solent, Lee on the Solent, Gosport. The 1929 Schneider Trophy air race was held in September over the Solent in the UK and was won by Flying Officer Henry Waghorn in a Supermarine S. 6. The race took place in magnificent weather, with hundreds of thousands of spectators, mainly at Southsea beach.
