Rare Kriegsmarine German WW2 U-Boat Lufft Barometer

The Kriegsmarine German U-boat barometer was a weather instrument used on German submarines during WWII to measure atmospheric pressure and help predict weather conditions. Accompanying the Barometer is a genuine wooden box with a calibrations record sheet. It is constructed of aluminum, with a metal dial imprinted with “mb” (millibars), “Lufft” (manufacturer). The box is dated to ‘19 Jul 1944’.

*Condition*

Both the Barometer and the box are in very good condition. There are a few small scuffs on the paint of the Barometer. The calibrations record sheet is very well preserved with no damage. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
