~ Art Deco 18ct Rose Gold Diamond & Sapphire Bar Brooch ~
A stunning bar brooch of 18ct rose gold set with ten good sized, round-cut diamonds and 15 square-cut mid-blue sapphires.
The stones are mounted in groups of five, alternately along the front of the brooch.
The sapphires are bezel set while the diamonds are claw mounted in platinum settings. The sapphires are a good deep blue.
The brooch is marked to the reverse upon the catch '750' for 18ct gold. The mark is a little messy with the '7' rather obscured, but the
'50' clear and crisp.
~ Dimensions ~
The diamonds measure approximately 0.07 carats (a little over 2mm in diameter each).
The sapphires measure approximately 0.15 carats (2mm x 2mm).
The central sapphire measures 2mm x 4mm.
The brooch has a length of 8.2cm and weighs 5.5g.
~ Condition ~
The brooch has had a couple of tiny nicks, only really visible under close scrutiny but presenting very well to the naked eye.
The quality stones are all free from damage with a good shine.
