~ Gents Wittnauer-Longines Gold Plated Wristwatch – Boxed c1960’s ~
A fine gold plated gents automatic wristwatch by the Swiss company Wittnauer-Longines.
The watch has a stainless steel case which is gold plated to the front.
The watch has a cream coloured dial with gold coloured batons for hours except 12 which is in Arabic numerals.
It has a subsidiary seconds dial with sweeping hand above the 6 o’clock position.
The dial is named ‘Wittnauer Automatic’ and also reads ‘Swiss’.
The case-back is of plain stainless steel. It reads to the inside ‘Wittnauer Watch co.’ And has a serial number of ‘6452524’.
The automatic movement is named ‘Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc’, has a serial no. of ‘11A0’ and is marked for 17 jewels.
The watch comes with a more modern tan leather strap and comes in its original presentation box.

The dial has a diameter of 3.5cm (1 ¼ inches).
The watch and strap have a length of 23cm (9 inches).
It weighs 35.5g.
~ Condition ~
The watch case has a few small scratches, mainly to the reverse. Otherwise the watch is in a nice condition with only minimal age wear.
The watch is in good working order.
The box has a little wear, with a little damage to the velvet lining but is in a generally good condition.
