This is an 1888 pattern British bayonet, made for the Lee-Metford Rifle. This is the Mk1 2nd type variant, as shown by the two brass rivets and adjacent oil/clearance hole. This particular bayonet comes with an original scabbard and frog. All ricasso markings are still visible and clear.

*Condition*

The bayonet is in great condition with some pitting to the metal parts which is consistent with its age. The scabbard is also in great condition with some dents to the chape. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
