~ Esdaile And Sons Lifeboat Binnacle ~

The housing is of brass with a gimballed compass. To the sides are two tubes containing the illumination oil burners.

The compass is named to Esdaile and Sons of Sydney, New South Wales and Australia.

The front of the binnacle bears the badge for Solver Svarrer, Iverc. Wellbach & Co to the front.

~ Condition ~

The piece is in good order. There are several small dents to the skull.

~ Dimensions ~

The binnacle is 36 cm (14.25 inches) wide, 36 cm (14 inches) tall and  27 cm (10.5 inches) deep.
