~ Circa 1911 Silver Shoe Pin Cushion ~
A lovely novelty silver pin cushion modelled as a shoe.
The main body of the shoe is of silver while, the sole is of wood.
It has a hinged needle pad enclosing a thimble storage compartment to the top.
It is hallmarked for silver, Birmingham, 1911 and has a makers mark of ‘S.B&S Ltd’ for S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd. 548931

The piece has a length of 13cm (5 inches), a width of 5cm (2 inches) and a height of 5cm (2 inches).
It weighs 100g.
~ Condition ~
The silver has a few minor dents and scratches but no major damage. The material is rather worn to the top and has a little wear to the inside.
Overall the piece is in a good condition and presents well.
