*British, Korean War Era, 1952, Army Machete and Leather Scabbard, by S&J Kitchin*
An original S&J Kitchin Ltd British military jungle machete issued in 1952. 14.5" single-edged bolo blade. The handles are black Bakelite held by five coppery brass rivets and the tip of the handle has a lanyard hole. The blade is marked "S&J Kitchin Ltd, Sheffield, No 2640" War Arrow "1952" and the leather scabbard is marked "KE/3513" War Arrow "61". The knife measures 19 3/4" (50.5cm) overall with a 14.5" (37cm) blade.
A fine example of a Korean War-era British machete - this utilitarian Army machete was standard issue from the end of the First World War through to at least the 1960s.
*Condition*
This machete is in good used condition with some rusting to the blade. Signs of wear and tear to the grip and scabbard but all rivets are in place and the leather scabbard is intact. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
