WW2 German M42 Army/Heer Helmet

This is an original WW2 shell M42 Helmet. Initially, this helmet would have been a single decal, army helmet in the colour ‘rough texture grey-green’. After the war, this helmet would have been reissued and has since had the liner and chinstrap changed. The M42 Helmet was introduced on the 6th July, 1942, and was the last time German Helmets were upgraded during the war. They maintained much of the design of the M40 Helmets, but do not feature the rolled edge of its predecessor - this was to save both time and material during manufacture.

*Condition*

This helmet is in great condition with the liner and strap strong and intact. There are some minor marks and scratches around the surface of the helmet. Please see pictures for more detail.
