WW2 German M40 Helmet With Correct Batch And Makers Stamps

WW2 German M40 made by the Eisenhuttenwerk Thale factory between March 1940 and August 1942.

This helmet was originally a single decal Heer (army) helmet, it still retains its original eagle and swastika although this has yellowed over the years.

A national tricolour has been added during the war which is not uncommon as this would have been added for parade or funeral purposes.

It retains its original rough texture Grey Green paint.

The strap is missing but it is in untouched original condition.

General rust spots inside and outbut 90 per cent of paint and decals still in place.

No chin strap, shell size 64.
