A Victorian blue and white ‘Young Head’ pattern Royal Navy mess plate by Bovey Tracey potteries of Devon.

With a naval themed blue and white pattern to rim including roundels featuring the profile of a young Queen Victoria.

Reads ‘Mess No. 7’ to the centre below a crown.

The plate is stamped to reverse with incised mark also.

The plate measures 24.5cm (9 ½ inches) in diameter.

The plate is in very good condition with only a couple of flea bite chips to rim.
