Rare and no longer in production, the Colt "Remember the Alamo" Bowie Knife commemorates the 175th Anniversary of The Alamo (1836-2011). This unique knife comes complete with a brown leather belt sheath. Notable features include a brass spline and hilt, an engraving of the Alamo on the blade, Colt marking on one ricasso, and the model number CT800 alongside "Pakistan" on the opposite side. Additionally, a brass 'S' guard extends to cover the upper spine, and the stag handle features an inlaid Texas star. The leather sheath bears an impressed Colt logo and comes housed in the original Colt packaging.

The blade itself measures 370mm (approximately 14-3/4 inches), with a total overall length exceeding 540mm (over 21 inches).

The historical significance of The Alamo to Colt is noteworthy. On February 23rd, 1836, Sam Colt submitted patent papers for his repeating firearm, the Paterson Colt. Coincidentally, on the same day, the siege of The Alamo commenced. Over the course of the next 12 days, a small group of courageous Texans valiantly defended The Alamo against Santa Anna's formidable army. Speculation arises about whether Sam Colt's invention, if available at the time, could have influenced the outcome. Though this remains a matter of conjecture, these two events indelibly altered the landscape of the Old West and continue to be legendary tales even 175 years later.

The knife, blade and leather sheath are in excellent almost mint condition with some minor scuffs to the brass an d the leather sheath. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
