Original WW2 German Single Decal M42 Helmet

This is an original single decal M42 helmet from World War 2. The helmet is stamped with the number 0229 and has a grey-green colour. On the left side of the helmet is the HJ&K Heer decal. The M42 Helmet was introduced on the 6th July, 1942, and was the last time German Helmets were upgraded during the war. They maintained much of the design of the M40 Helmets, but do not feature the rolled edge of its predecessor - this was to save both time and material during manufacture.

*Condition*

This helmet is in excellent condition with some minor wear around the surface. The single decal is almost completely visible and the sheep’s skin liner remains strong and fully intact. Please see pictures for more detail.
