Original WW2 British Spitfire Type P8 Compass

This is an original P8 compass which would have been used by Spitfire pilots during World War 2. The compass has a rotating action and a locking lever that still work and the top plate reads “Type P8 No.121271 H.”. This would have been a crucial instrument for pilots during World War 2 and would have been used during major events such as the Battle of Britain. This is being sold as a World War 2 military artefact, not as a working instrument.

*Condition*

The compass is in great condition for its age and usage. There are a few light marks around the surface of the instrument but nothing significant. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
