This is a 1907 pattern bayonet, designed for the famous SMLE (Short Magazine Lee-Enfield) and known as the sword bayonet due to its length. They were used extensively throughout WW1 and WW2. This particular bayonet was produced by Wilkinson in 1909 and features service and inspection marks on the ricasso. It is unit marked on the pommel with “3.dy 530” for 3rd Battalion Sherwood Foresters. The grip has been personalised with the initials “J.B” engraved. Complete with original scabbard

*Condition*

The bayonet is in good condition with light pitting and no damage. All parts remain strong and undamaged. Please see pictures for more detail.
