1914 Mons Star and Victory Medal Pvte Sutherland 2 s Lancers With Tin And Documents
A fascinating collection relating to Private T Sutherland of the 2/s Lancers. The medal duo consists of a 1914 Mons Star numbered 6501, also the Victory Medal that goes with it, both in superb condition.
We also have the Queen Mary Christmas tin that was given to Private Sutherland along with the letter addressed to him, and the picture card of Princess Mary and King George V. The Buckingham Palace letter is also present. It is unusual to find a set like this that has survived in such good condition as well as still being together.
*Condition*
The whole set is in excellent condition with only a small amount of tarnishing to the lid of the tin, the medals are in very good condition and the documents are in good condition having been folded there is a split in one of the creases of the letter to Private Sutherland.
