~ Late 19th Century Merryweather Fire Helmet ~

The skull and comb are of brass, the brass chin scales are backed with black leather. The lining is of brown leather.

~ Condition ~

There are the expected dings and dents to the skull and comb from active use. The liner is in good order, complete with all its tongues.  It bears no manufacturers stamp, the name of a former wearer 'Moss' is scratched into the underside of the front visor.

~ Dimensions ~

The helmet is 28 cm (11 inches) tall, 22 cm (9 inches) wide and  29 cm (11.25 inches) deep.
