~ 19th Century Lord Nelson Salt Glaze Pottery Jardiniere ~

A very nice 19th century salt-glazed, stoneware jardinière decorated with images relating to Admiral Lord Nelson.

The jardinière is of a deep reddish brown colour with dark brown to the rim and foot.

It has relief moulded decoration of a half length portrait of Nelson bordered with oak leaves to one side and maritime trophies of war to the other.

~ Dimensions ~

The jardinière has a diameter of 16cm (6 ¼ inches) and a height of 22cm (8 ¾ inches).

It weighs 2.6 kg.

~ Condition ~

The jardinière has a few chips to the rim and the moulding, most notably Nelsons nose. Otherwise it is in good condition with no structural damage.
