Etched on the receiver is MP UZI Kal 9mm, the serial number 82665, 2/61 and the manufacturer Israel Military Industries (IMI).
Various proof marks are stamped onto the firearm.

The Israeli Uzi submachine gun is a compact firearm that was first developed in the late 1940s by Uziel Gal, an Israeli firearms designer. It is a lightweight and portable weapon that was designed to be easily wielded by soldiers in close quarters combat situations.
