A fantastic stainless steel gents wristwatch by the Swiss company Jaeger LeCoultre dating to 1948 with the sought after p469/c calibre manual wind movement.
The watch has a circular stainless steel case with swept lugs and gold coloured crown.
The cream dial has both Arabic numeral and baton hour markers in gold with two gold pointer hands.
The watch features an oversized subsidiary seconds dial at the six o’clock position.
The dial is named ‘Jaeger LeCoultre’.
The stainless steel case back is stamped with the serial no. of ‘556701’ to the outside and marked with the signature ‘LeCoulter Co., Swiss’ to the inside.
The manual wind p469/c movement has a serial no. of ‘799542’ which dates the watch to 1948 as it falls within that years serial number of ‘790000’ to ‘850000’. This incidentally was the year the p469/c movement was introduced.
The movement is signed ‘Jaeger LeCoultre’.
The watch comes on a new black leather strap.

The dial has a diameter of 27mm.
The watch measures 30mm across the bezel (33mm including crown).
The watch and strap have a length of 23cm (9 inches).
The watch weighs 31.4g.
~ Condition ~
The dial has some age marking but is free from damage.
The case is in good order with only light wear from use. It has one very tiny dent to one edge but thankfully this is not easily visible unless upon close inspection.
The watch overall is in a nice condition and is in good working order.
