Here we have a nautical wooden female figurine dating to the 18th century.

It is most likely a piece of gingerbread work, as fitted to the ornate stern of a ship.

Traces of the original gilt and paintwork remain.

It is affixed to a round base with some light fabric padding underneath.

~ Dimensions ~

The base has a diameter of 7.8 inches (20 cm) and the figurehead has a height of 18.1 inches (46 cm).

It weighs 1.3 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The figurehead is in a lovely condition with no damage and some signs of wear. There are numerous worm holes.
