~ Fabulous Circa 1903 Moorcroft Macintyre Alhambra Vase ~
A superb Moorcroft Macintyre Burslem ‘Alhambra’ design vase dating to around 1903. The vase is exceptionally well tubelined with Art Nouveau poppies and tulips in shades of blue and red against panels of a lovely salmon pink and gilt work. The colours are vibrant and this piece will make a statement in any art pottery collection.
The vase was part of the Albert E Wade Collection which was sold at Sothebys in 2002.
5.5" tall and 4.75” in diameter and marked to the base with the brown Macintyre Burslem stamp and a pattern number of M2385 B.
~ Condition ~
A beautifully decorated example that is presented for sale with no damage or repair. There is a firing crack to the base which is not unusual for these early pieces but it in no way compromises the integrity of the vase.
~ Dimensions ~
The vase is 13 cm (5.25 inches) tall with a maximum diameter of 12.5 cm (5 inches).
