~ Chinese Qing Period Two Monkeys Nephrite Jade Sculpture ~
The nephrite jade sculpture depicts two monkeys; what appears to be the mother monkey and a baby monkey holding onto her head. The mother monkey is also holding a growing branch of peaches.
The sculpture is coloured pure 'white' (in jade terms, it is actually a pale green), a very sort after colour.
It is dated to the Qing period or possibly earlier.

The sculpture has a height of 2.5 inches (6.4 cm), a width of 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) & a depth of 1 inches (2.6 cm).
