The glasses have a steel frame, zero magnification lenses and fabric loops to secure them safely over the ears.

The glasses come in a paper lined, grey steel tin with the words Masten-Baille on them which translates as "Mast Glasses" so I presume they were used by the Kriegsmarine for lookout duties to protect the eyes from sea spray.

~ Condition ~

The glasses are in excellent order, they do not appear to have been used. The case has a few areas of light corrosion.

~ Dimensions ~

The case is 12.5 cm (5 inches) across.
