~ c1929 Wilfred Knox ‘On Into The Night' Watercolour Of A Clipper ~
A lovely watercolour painting of a clipper entitled ‘On Into The Night’ by the English artist Wilfred Knox (1884-1966).
The watercolour is heightened with gouache and depicts a clipper in full sail with the sun upon the sails.
The piece is signed by the artist and dated ‘1929’.
The painting is mounted and presented in a glazed modern frame. To the back of the frame is a small wood plaque with the title of the piece and the artists name.
This is one of two similar paintings the other entitled ‘In The Trade Winds’, both depicting a clipper at sea. The other is also for sale in our shop.
