*British, WW2 era, Stadium MK VIII RAF Style, Flying Goggles*

Marked " Made in England", "Patent".

An interesting pair of RAF style MK VIII style Goggles. It is likely that these were made by Stadium. Stadium MK VIII Goggles have a different strap arrangement and finish to RAF goggles, they also have ‘Made in England’ on them which military issue items do not. The RAF MK VIII was introduced in April 1943 and was on RAF stores lists until the 1970’s.  British companies such as Stadium and Halcyon made copies of it from 1943 through the 1950’s to the present day. As these do not have the Stadium designed barrel screw adjuster across the bridge, which Stadium designated the Mk 9, it is likely that these were made c1943-1950.

They have the adjustable nose-bridge slider, hand stitched soft leather padded surround, angled split shatterproof/stretch resistant lenses and one size fits all fully adjustable headband.

*Condition*
These goggles are in poor used condition, the leather backing is missing with the foam exposed, the leather is split over the nose and there is no nose coverage. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
