~ A Rare German Nazi DAF/SDA Dinner Plate ~

The ceramic plate is stamped on the back with the manufacturer’s mark and the Nazi organisation mark.

The manufacturer is the “Bavaria Tirschenreuth”, one of Germany’s the most collectable ceramics.

The plate was made for the Schönheit der Arbeit (The Beauty of Labour) Nazi organisation, as can be seen on the green stamp on the back of the plate.

The Beauty of Labour (Schönheit der Arbeit) was a propaganda organisation of the Nazi government from the period 1934 to its eventual disbandment in 1945. Initially a propaganda machine, the SdA worked bilaterally with its counterpart organisation Strength Through Joy (KdF) to achieve an overall appeasement of the general population. The Beauty of Labour was one of the many areas that made up the Nazi labour union, the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF or "German Labour Front").

The plate diameter is 9.5 inches (24 cm) and it stands 1.5 inches (3.8 cm).

It weighs 500 grams.

The plate is in fair condition for its age.

It is free from chips and cracks.
