2nd World War Immaculate 1940 PO8 Lugers In Custom Made Case
These are one lookers, they were liberated by Flight Lieutenant Robert Charles Le Lorrain in 1946 when he joined the RAF and was posted to Germany, he used them occasionally and had this custom storage case made for them, they both have all matching numbers as well as the original magazines with wooden butts. They were both made in 1940 and are have production Nos that are only 826 guns apart which is close when you consider that 3 million were made in total. The Walnut grips still have the original new feel to them as these Lugers appear to be very lightly used. The blueing is still as they came from the factory and the stamps are crisp and clear.  We have never seen 1 Luger let alone a pair of Lugers in this superb condition, and we do not expect to ever see better.
Flight Lieutenant Le Lorrain joined the RAF in 1946 and retired in January of 1983, he passed away in 2005 which is when we believe these pistols passed into the hands of a collector who has owned them ever since. This is part of a collection of superb quality which includes several SA daggers and a Luftwaffe 2nd pattern dagger which are all in immaculate condition.
They are deactivated to the old UK Spec, so they do cock and dry fire. Overseas buyers may be able to receive them in this format however for UK purchasers the deactivation will be brought up to current specification prior to delivery/collection.
