This beautiful cameo bud vase by Emile Galle is the height of Art Nouveau sophistication. The cameo effect has been achieved by layering a rich purple glass over a mottled blue base and acid etching the design into the surface. The glass to the background has been frosted adding a wonderful velvety texture to the piece. The blue tint to the glass creates a lovely dusky glow which enhances the details of the flowers to the foreground.
The vase is in a Solifleur shape with a narrow opening and teardrop body.
The name "Galle" is etched to the side of the piece.

The vase stands at 5 inches (13cm). The mouth has a diameter of 1 inch (2.5cm) while the base has a diameter of 1.25 inches (3cm). This piece weighs 120g.

The vase is in very good condition for its age with no damage to note. The signature is clear.
