~ 19th Century Pearlware Pottery Tureen With Cover ~
A lovely pearlware ceramic tureen with lid.
The tureen is of circular form and is decorated in underglaze blue with flowers, birds and butterflies.
It has twin handles and has a large handle to the lid in the form of a flower.
The tureen is not named.
~ Dimensions ~
The tureen has a diameter of 28cm (11 inches) and a height of 27cm (10 ½ inches).
It weighs 2.82Kg.
~ Condition ~
The tureen has a small chip to the rim and a hairline crack to the body. There are also two small chips to the inner edge of the lid. The inside has a few small marks of rust where someone has stored something metallic in the past. Aside from these things the tureen is otherwise in a good condition with no major damage or repairs.
