~ 1901 Vanity Fair Print Of The Jockey Rick ~

The print was published on the 12th of September, 1901 and depicts the jockey Fred Rickaby.

'He is under five-and-thirty, he was born at Hungerford, and began to be recognised as good jockey some sixteen or seventeen years ago. Since then he has improved himself into a fine horseman, who though he rides fewer races than many other jockeys, always gets a good average'.

The print is presented in a single mounted, wooden glazed frame.

The print has light fading being 120 years old, it is otherwise clean. The frame has minor wear.

The frame is 34 cm (13.25 inches) wide and 45 cm (17.75 inches) tall.
