~ 1901 Doulton's Burslem New Century Art Ware Advertising Mirror ~

The mirror depicts various Doulton vases in various colour ways and other ceramics with a kiln blowing smoke in the background.

The mirror is also marked for "Supplied Through All High Class Dealers" and "London Showrooms".

It was in 1901 that the Burslem factory of Doulton & Co. Ltd. was granted the Royal Warrant by the new King, Edward VII. It was this that enabled the business to adopt the name Royal Doulton.

A very rare item. The last one available for sale was in 2011.

The mirror is in excellent condition. The frame is lightly worn.

The frame is 81 cm (32 inches) wide by 66 cm (26 inches) tall.
