WWII German Luftwaffe M43 Enlisted Field Cap

A Second World War German Luftwaffe enlisted M43 field cap.

The cap is of a blue-grey wool with peak and side panels.

The two side fold-down panels are secured at the front by two pebbled finish metal buttons.

Sewn to the front of the cap is a trapezoid cloth badge in grey incorporating the Luftwaffe eagle and swastika motif as well as the national cockade below.

The interior of the cap is lined with a blue and white striped thick cotton.

~ Dimensions ~

The cap measures 30cm (12 inches) front to back and has an inner circumference of approximately 55cm (21 ½ inches).

It weighs 180g.

~ Condition ~

There is some wear to the badge at the front and the peak is somewhat out of shape.

The cap itself is in a very good condition with no apparent damage.

The cap has a few stains/marks and some remnants of mud and is generally a bit dusty and dirty.
