This is the standard 1 Kg incendiary bomb, this type was known as the ’tile breaker’ and was designed to penetrate roofs.

The piece has a number of marks and stamps on it and is dated 1937.

One of the most well-known types of incendiary bombs used by the Luftwaffe was the "Brandbombe" or "fire bomb." These bombs were filled with a mixture of thermite and other flammable substances designed to ignite upon impact and start fires that were difficult to extinguish. The firebombs were usually dropped in clusters, creating a carpet of flames that could quickly engulf buildings and urban areas.
