~ Circa 1938/9 Lineol Model No. 1230 Flak 36 88mm Anti Aircraft Gun Tin Plate Model #1 ~
A superb tin plate model based on the Second World War era German anti aircraft gun.
This is the larger version.
The model has a fully elevating & transversing gun with cap firing mechanism, mounted on a cruciform base with folding side arms.
It is mounted upon two detachable travelling bogeys. The bogeys have black treaded rubber tyres marked ‘LINEOL’ and feature locking devices by slotting and a hook.
The model is finished in the pre-war, dark green colour.
The model comes with five composite German soldiers, three marked to the underside ‘Elastolin, Germany’, one marked “Leyla” and the other is unmarked.
~ Dimensions ~
The gun has a barrel length of 10 inches (26cm). The model has a total length of 16 inches (41cm) a width of 5 inches (14cm) and a height of 5 inches (13cm).
The complete set weighs 1.16 Kg.
~ Condition ~
Some of the cog mechanisms are a little worn, but will engage with a little care. There is a little wear to the paint work but overall the model is in very nice condition.
The figures are in quite good condition, with some general wear. Some have a small crack to their bases; one has both his feet missing.
