WW2 German Kriegsmarine Ships War Flag

A genuine Second World War German Reichskriegsflagge or war flag.

This is the military version of the National swastika flag.

This flag was used only in wartime; flown from naval ships,
especially u-boats.

The flag shows a cross with a swastika to the centre and a small
iron cross in one corner all on a red ground.

The flag is marked ‘Kr.Fl (Kriegs-Flagge) 100 x 170’ along the white
band to one edge.

It is also marked with what we can presume is a makers mark
and place of manufacture, though most of this is too faded to
read but it clearly says ‘Augsburg’, which is a German city not far
from Munich.

~ Dimensions ~

The flag measures 85cm (33 ½ inches) by 170cm (67 inches).

It weighs 370g.

~ Condition ~

The flag has a couple of small marks and a few small holes, one to the centre of the swastika and a few in the red areas but otherwise is in very good condition.
