WW2 German Army 3rd Army Officer's Peaked Cap by G. Aschenneller of Munich

This is a good example of grey cloth with white piping to the welt of the crown and either side of the green woollen band.

To the front of the the crown an alloy eagle and swastika; on the band, an aluminium cockade in silver wire embroidered oakleaf wreath. Aluminium twisted wire cap cords supported by aluminium stippled buttons. Black pressed fibre peak, leather sweatband, lining retains celluloid diamond with tailor's details.

~ Condition ~

The cap has some moth damage to the top near the front and towards the back.

The cap retains a good shape and is otherwise in a very good condition.
