This is a hand bell used by ARP officers during World War 2. The purpose of the bell was to be used by ARP wardens during the blitz to signal 'all clear' to the local population after an air raid, in addition to signalling danger prior to imminent attack.

*Condition*

This bell is in very good condition but is unfortunately missing the knocker. There are some minor marks across the surface. Please see pictures for more detail.
