*WW1, German, 37mm Shell and Shell Casing, Shell Case made by Karlsruhe Patronefabrik 1915, Inert*

This shell case was manufactured in Karlsruhe Germany in 1915. It is a 37mm German artillery shell with a brass casing for use with the Maxim Flak M14. 37mm in diameter, 6.5" tall and weighs about a pound. They were assembled in belts to be fired, machine gun style. The shell case base is marked with the manufacturer's name "Karlsruhe Patronefabrik" flanked by the standard twin flaming bombs for this manufacturer, dated "1915, "119A".

The shell is marked B Ave 20 on the rim and the thread has two X's opposite each other and the number 33 can be seen.

*Condition*
This inert artillery shell and case is in great condition commensurate with its age and usage. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
