~ Victorian 1856 Pattern Mark 1 Drummers Sword Of The Rifle Brigade ~

The sword has a brass Gothic hilt with 'VR' embossed decorations on both sides of the cross guard and trefoil finals.

The side of the grip is stamped ‘2/W k, 7. D.’

The pommel and the ricasso of the blade are stamped ‘RB’.

The blade is a straight double edged one.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade length is 19 inches (48.2 cm) and its overall length is 24 inches (61 cm).

It weighs 750 grams.

~ Condition ~

The sword overall condition is good.

The edge of the blade has a number of small nicks on both sides.

The hilt has only minor signs of wear but its condition can be described as excellent.

The blade developed age darkening, as expected for its age.

There is no scabbard.
