~ Very Good 1796 Cavalry Troopers Sabre by Graven & Osborn Birmingham ~

A good example of a 1796 trooper sword stamped with a proof mark on the ricasso and the manufacturer's name on the edge T.H.C.S. GRAVEN.

The grip of the piece is made of carved wood.

The scabbard is marked Osborne & Gu(is)by Birm'm.

There is what appears to be a led musket ball embedded in the scabbard but that can be removed and cleaned off.

~ Condition ~

The sword is very good with some age-related dark spots.

The grip is solid and doesn't move.

The wood is slightly chipped.
