*USA, Interwar -c.1938–41, Sensenich Laminated Wooden Aircraft Propeller*

A genuine American laminated wooden aircraft propeller manufactured by the Sensenich Propeller Manufacturing Company, measuring approximately 173 cm in overall length. Of two-blade form with metal-sheathed leading edges and tips, secured by original rivets. The six-bolt hub is metal-lined and clearly stamped  “AB7600”. The propeller displays the characteristic laminated hardwood construction for which Sensenich was renowned.

Historical Note:
Sensenich was one of the principal American propeller manufacturers of the late inter-war and early Second World War period, supplying both the civilian aviation market and military training and liaison aircraft. Wooden propellers of this type were widely used in the late 1930s and early 1940s, valued for their strength, reliability, and excellent vibration characteristics. Examples such as this were commonly fitted to light aircraft and primary trainers, many remaining in service into the early years of the war.
