The Remington 1858 New Model Army revolver is a single-action, six-shot, percussion revolver that was patented by E. Remington & Sons in 1858. It was one of the most popular handguns used during the American Civil War, widely used by the Union army. This deactivated gun would make an excellent addition to any collection. It can be cocked and dry-fired.
The top of the barrel reads “Patented Sept. 14. 1858 E.Remington & Sons, Ilion, New York, USA New Model” and it has the model number 117015. The cylinder is marked with the number 7015.
