This is a fine example of a well preserved inter-war Australian model 1907 bayonet.

The blade is marked with the pattern stamp “1907” in a shield, the manufacturing date “2.21” and the maker’s stamp “LITHGOW”. The other side is stamped with three Australian inspection stamps.

The pommel is stamped with serial number “A75828”.

The scabbard is also stamped with the same maker’s name and same year.

It is complete with its original leather scabbard proof marked on the locket, body and chape.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade has a length of 17 inches (43 cm), the bayonet has an overall length of 21.8 inches (55.2 cm), 21.9 inches (58 cm) when sheathed. It weighs 740 g.

~ Condition ~

The blade is excellent, preserving most of its original bluing. The grips are complete with almost no signs of wear.

The scabbard is very good with almost no usage signs.
