~ Rare 1897 Pattern EIC Navy Sword And Scabbard 1854 By Wilkinson ~

A great example of a very early Wilkinson sword, the serial number is 5130 on the blade flat. It bears the makers details on the ricasso with the proof star on the opposite side. The richly engraved blade has a half length, single fuller.

~ Condition ~

The sword is in great order. The blade has dulled with age and has several small nicks to the edge. The grip, guard and hinged part are all in good order.

The scabbard is decent with no major faults except for a split to the top brass ring.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword has a total length of 96 cm (37.5 inches) and a blade length of 80 cm (31.5 inches). The set weighs 1.68 Kg.
