~ Pair Of Mid 19th Century Coalport Botanical Cabinet Plates ~
A lovely pair of hand-painted botanical plates by Coalport dating to around 1840-1850.
Each plate has a white centre with gilt border within which are beautifully detailed hand-painted flowers in realistic colours.
The plates have pink scalloped borders with gilt edging.
The plates do not have an actual Coalport stamp but instead with hand written marks of ‘548 3’ to bases.
~ Dimensions ~
The plates both have a diameter of 22.5cm (8 ¾ inches).
Together they weigh 790g.
~ Condition ~
There are a couple of tiny marks to the paintwork on both plates and a little bit of very light wear to the gilding on both but in both cases these imperfections are very minimal and only noticeable upon close inspection.
Otherwise the plates are in a lovely condition with no damages and they look fantastic.
