This is an original Lee-Metford Bayonet Pattern 1888 Mk2 bayonet. The blade features many marks including the bending mark, Queen Victoria royal cipher and numbers on the pommel that are possible regimental numbers. Underneath the Queen Victoria royal cipher, the blade is dated to 11/00.

*Condition*

The bayonet is in good condition for its age and usage. The blade is darkened towards the tip. There is surface pitting on parts of the metal on the grip and blade. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
