This is an original M42 helmet from Nazi Germany in WW2. The helmet retains its original grey-green paint and has a completely visible single ET decal on the left side. It appears that the liner and strap have since been replaced. The M42 Helmet was introduced on the 6th July, 1942, and was the last time German Helmets were upgraded during the war. They maintained much of the design of the M40 Helmets, but does not feature the rolled edge of its predecessor - this was to save both time and material during manufacture.
*Condition*
The helmet is in very good condition for its age and retains most of its original finish. There are some patches of oxidisation around the back and brim. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
